Martin Walker (of Brain Fitness Pro)

Hello Dr. Scott.

Firstly, I have wondered for some time why we don't incorporate training of these kinds of life skills into educational curricula. I wonder the same thing about philosophy.

On item 8. brain training software that trains restraint and impulse control: My company publishes brain training software (Mind Sparke Brain Fitness Pro) designed ostensibly to increase working-memory and fluid intelligence. However, I have been surprised that customers have also reported feeling a greater degree of self-control and self-awareness after using the program.

On the program's training blog several customers have discussed how the training demands focus, calm, self-awareness and resilience under mental pressure.

I am not sure whether it is the most effective way to train these skills, but it was a finding that seemed relevant to your point.

Best wishes,
Martin Walker
